Canceled Lessons
I Cancel – Full refund

Bad weather – Full refund. If school is cancelled you have the option of cancelling

You cancel with 7+ days notice - Full refund 5 per year (Sept-May excludes holidays)

You cancel with 1-6 days notice – you get a 50% refund

You cancel with less than 24 hours notice – you get nothing

Payment

Payment is always due your first lesson of each month. If you aren't coming the first week of the month for some reason it is due no later than the 15th. If you aren't going to have a lesson by the 15th of the month you need to drop it off on your own time or mail it. A fee of one dollar per day will be added for each day after the 15th the payment was received. For example if you owe $68 a month and don't pay till the 20th you now owe $72. I will not teach lessons that have not been paid for. If you forget your check book or don't have enough cash I am not obligated to teach you so be sure to come prepared. I will accept post dated checks as late as the 15th of the month. Everyone should always pay before the lesson starts that way it's just out of the way.

Lesson Time

If you arrive early for your lesson please wait outside until 3 minutes before your lesson starts. All of my students are back to back and it really disrupts the lesson to have someone walk in half way through. Also it’s harder for the student to concentrate since they now have the added stress of someone else watching their lesson.

The last 3 minutes of the lesson are just packing up and reviewing the assignment. When it’s time for your lesson just come in even if you hear someone playing. They’re lesson time is over so it doesn’t matter if you interrupt the song. Do not knock. It is much less disruptive for you to quietly come in while I finish a lesson than if I get out of my chair and open the door.

Picking up Children

Children may be dropped off for their lesson but must be picked up within 5 minutes of when their lesson is over. I will charge any additional time at the same price as a lesson even though they will only be waiting. Paying $40 to have your child play with their phone on my couch is a big waste of money so please pick them up on time!

I will be sensitive to extenuating circumstances but they need to be few and far between.
